We completed a comprehensive exterior clean for a large commercial warehouse and distribution facility in Desborough’s industrial estate (Kettering area), Northamptonshire. The project was delivered over 3 days and included metal cladding cleaning, roof cleaning, gutter/box gutter clearance and cleaning, plus solar panel cleaning using pure water systems.
To support safe working at height and consistent coverage across elevations, access was managed using MEWP (cherry picker) equipment as needed.
This site needed more than a quick washdown. The key issues were:
We positioned MEWP access to reach upper cladding lines, roof edges, and gutter runs safely, allowing consistent cleaning without overreach.
We cleaned the building’s external metal cladding to remove algae staining and accumulated grime, using methods appropriate for the surface to avoid unnecessary abrasion.
We removed organic buildup and debris from roof areas and carried out gutter and box gutter clearance/cleaning to restore free-flowing drainage and reduce overflow risk.
The roof-mounted solar array was cleaned using a pure water system to remove dirt and residue and leave a clear finish without detergent films.
A DDAC biocide treatment was applied as part of the project to help inhibit algae regrowth. Longevity varies by exposure (shade, rainfall patterns, nearby vegetation), so we treat it as a regrowth-control step, not a fixed-duration guarantee.
If your warehouse exterior is showing algae staining, blocked gutters/box gutters, or roof contamination around panels and rooflines, we can plan the access safely and deliver a clean that’s consistent across the full perimeter.
